Therme Bucuresti - Pool, Spa, Sauna, Sun, Cocktails, Relaxing

One of the best places and activities in Bucharest I can say is Therme Bucharest. I definitely advice you to go there if you like pools, relaxing and sun in summer. You can spend a full day like in a summer holiday village in Antalya and relax.

Therme is located nearly 20 kms from the city center, in north of the city just some km away from the Henri Coanda airport. It is one of the biggest pool and spa complex in Europe. I think Bucharest people is very lucky to have this facility. You won't feel that you are living in a city without sea, anytime in winter or summer you have the good quality relaxing, swimming facility nearby. 

There are 3 options to get to Therme: (1) With you own car, I think the best (2) By taxi or uber/bolt (3) By shuttle buses which gets on from Romana Piatsa Square and scheduled intervals were you can find from web.

There are 3 parts in Therme

  • Galaxy: For families, which has huge indoor waterslides, a wave pool, children pools. Can noisy a little bit because of water slides and children.
  • The Palm: For people with no child (+16), friends, couples. Larger area and more options of pools, restaurants compared to Galaxy.
  • Elysium: Includes palm facilities and acess to palm area and extra you can go to spas, saunas.
The time limits are 3 hours, 4.5 hours or full day. For Galaxy part since child gets tired and becomes sleepy we choose 4.5 hours and its enough for half of day to have time there. If you are with friends going or alone, I would advice to take full day package to the Palm or Elysium. You can go in the morning and up to night stay enjoying.

You will need swimming suits, towels and slippers with you. If you forget or don't have you can buy these from there also. A small bag will be good to be with you, to put your phone, book and things maybe. You don't need money inside, you pay the things with your bracelet given at entrance which gives access right to areas. Food and drinks are not allowed with you.

There are open and closed pools. In summer time on sand or grass areas near open pools you can rest, get sunbath, drink your cocktails. Prices are reasonable, compared to other restaurants in Bucharest its even good. Yo have have burgers, sea food, Italian or Asian kitchens.

First impressions of Bucharest, Romania

Having never been in Romania before, in August 2021 it was going to be my first visit to Bucharest for work and relocation. Before coming to Bucharest, I heard from friends about city, watched some videos, documentaries to learn and to get familiar. Turkish Restaurants in Bucharest

In Bucharest you can find many Turkish restaurant alternatives. You wont feel that you are away from your country. Even in some restaurants, you will have better taste than the ones in Turkey. All of them have different concepts and tastes. From google or TripAdvisor you can find a more detailed list. But these are the ones I heard or tried.
