Turkish Restaurants in Bucharest

In Bucharest you can find many Turkish restaurant alternatives. You wont feel that you are away from your country. Even in some restaurants, you will have better taste than the ones in Turkey. All of them have different concepts and tastes.

From google or TripAdvisor you can find a more detailed list. But these are the ones I heard or tried.

I will order them in order of my preference, and for some of them I will try to write my personal comments. 

  1. Turkish Kitchen The best quality Turkish restaurant in Bucharest. You can take your guests, Romanian friends to here. Taste of kebaps and mezes are good. You can find raki and alternative Turkish drinks like salgam, ayran.
  2. Duman Oriental Cuisine With two restaurants, one in Decebal and other newly opened in Herastrau, Duman is one of the best Turkish restaurants. Foods are big portion, tasty and service is good. Specialy the Herastrau Duman restaurant has a good atmosphere.
  3. Golden Kebap As of style "Esnaf Lokantasi" we call in Turkish. Specially lahmacun and Adana kebap is good. Home style Turkish food can be found. Meze s are big size. Raki and Turkish drinks are found. You can have raki, mezes, kebap with Turkish music and you will feel like in Turkey.
  4. Saray One time I been there and tried Beyti Adana kebap. It was middle in taste, but in general atmosphere, food in plate didn't seem attractive to me. Central location in old town is an advantage.
  5. Dristor Kebap - Bulevardul Dimitrie Cantemir Here you can find different options, kebap, steaks, doner, Turkish tatli. Altough it is self service and like a fast food style, portions are big and tasty. I tied differen kind of food ther and I like this place. Lahmacun ,Adana Kebap, Tavuk kanat, Lokum, Steaks I can advice. Also try Antep Fistikli Dondurma. This is the best in Bucharest and evenbetter then most ice cream in Turkey.

  9. Efes Restaurant I tried just on time Adana kebap, but taste was very bad. So I didn't prefer to go second time.
  10. Cigeristan Specialized on ciger and cop sis. It quite new restaurant in Bucharest. They are warmly hosting you. To table they bring 3-4 kinds of salads as classical ciger restaurants. But prices are expensive for this food.

Buying Furniture for Home in Romania

After you rent your house, possibly there will be some missing furniture you will need or you will want to decorate according to your needs.  For example, mostly rented flats don't have special child bed or child room furniture, so you may need to buy some extra furniture. There are two main options: to buy it from the big shops by seeing yourself or buying online. Buying online has usually more choices and cheaper.
